about

The band Tuesday was founded in August 1986 by the three students Herr Eriek, Haiko Herden and a gentleman whose name shall not be mentioned. The special thing about this project was that they only met and recorded on Tuesdays within two free school periods between 10 am and 11:30 am. Tuesday is a project that moves in experimental spheres. Instruments were the Dr. Böhm Digi Drums, a Casio PT-20, trash can, guitar, ashtray, wind-up robot, cassette recorder, TV and some more. Improvisations as well as a telephone list served as lyrics. The class list was used for the song "Datenschutz (The Class of 1986)". Unfortunately, the song could only be released in a censored version due to data protection reasons, but the band has of course kept the uncensored version under lock and key.

The band split after finishing the tape "Geld für den Soldatenkönig" (Tape). Tuesday has left behind 60 minutes of "absolute music" (as the band itself calls it), noise orgies that do not meet any sound-technical standards of then and now, but which can now be found in a slightly remastered form on Bandcamp - but be aware: the music does not only hurt the ears but the brain.
